Curt Hoff, President of United Bank & Trust announced the appointment of Senior Vice President Robert Thomas to the bank’s board of directors.
Thomas has over 35 years of banking experience in lending, operations and bank management and is currently the bank’s Senior Loan Officer. “This experience positions Robert to be a key risk-monitoring member of the United Bank & Trust board,” says Hoff. “He has demonstrated sound judgement and we value his strategic mindset and core values.”
Active in the community, Thomas has served on committees or boards of East Marshall School District, Marshalltown Area Chamber of Commerce, RAGBRAI, Youth & Shelter Services, Kiwanis, Oktemberfest, and Iowa Valley Leadership steering committee. Current roles include United Way of Marshall County board member and East Marshall Facilities and Vocational Advisory committee member.
Thomas joins other board members; Tom Pohlman, CEO Ames National Corporation; Curt Hoff, President United Bank & Trust; Kathy Baker, retired United Bank & Trust; Kevin Swartz, CEO Wolfe Clinic; John Wise, retired Ken Wise Buick-GMC-Honda; Keith Brown, Owner Kapaun & Brown; and Larry Raymon, Owner Raymon Enterprises.
Thomas and his wife, Julie are long time Marshalltown residents and have two children.
