    We are pleased to introduce Lance Lansing as President of United Bank & Trust. Lansing assumed the role following the retirement of President Robert Thomas. Lansing brings significant community banking and financial services experience to the bank. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Commercial Lending at Apple River State Bank, where he managed and grew loan portfolios, developed strong customer relationships and helped expand the bank's business development efforts.

Thomas will retire on July 31st, following 10 years of dedicated leadership at United Bank & Trust and a distinguished banking career spanning more than 40 years. Since joining the Bank, he has played an instrumental role in strengthening United Bank & Trust's presence in the Marshalltown community while upholding its longstanding commitment to relationship-focused community banking.

  • Community Shred Day - 2026

    Community Shred Day will be held on Saturday, April 26th, from 9am to 11am in the parking lot of United Bank & Trust. Bring your confidential paperwork to be securely shredded. This drive-through service allows you to remain in your vehicle while our volunteers unload your boxes or bags of paper to be shredded onsite by Secure Shred Solutions. This event is free and open to individuals and families in the community. Please limit to 5 boxes.
