Three Generations Strong at Central Iowa Farm Store

Central Iowa Farm Store has been a trusted name in Marshalltown agriculture for decades, butCIFS for Bill Casady, the dealership was also the beginning of a family legacy.

In 1972, Bill Casady, then a sales representative for Allis Chalmers Company, partnered with Central Iowa Farm Store General Manager Lyle Jons to purchase the dealership from its previous owners, the Maytag family. Having regularly worked with the dealership through his sales role, Bill saw an opportunity to fulfill his dream of owning a business while establishing lasting roots for both his family and the company.

Today, Central Iowa Farm Store remains family owned, with Bill Casady and his sons, Todd and Ryan Casady, serving as current owners. Three generations of the Casady family, including Todd’s sons, Tyler and Nathan are actively involved in the dealership.  Together, they continue the family’s commitment to agriculture, light construction, landscape industries and customer service. Over the years, the business has evolved alongside the agricultural industry, growing from its early Allis Chalmers and Sperry New Holland days into a full-service equipment dealership carrying brands like New Holland, Kubota, Kinze, Land Pride, Ariens, and Gravely. In 2025, the company expanded further with an eastern Iowa location, “Next Gen Equipment.”

What continues to set CIFS apart is its focus on local, personalized service. “We take time to understand each customer’s property, workload, equipment goals, and maintenance needs so we can help them make the right decision,” the family shared. That hands-on approach, combined with a deep understanding of Iowa’s seasonal demands, has helped the dealership build long-term relationships throughout the community.

The Casady family says Marshalltown has been the perfect place to grow the business because it is “large enough to have a great customer base, but yet small enough to know and service our customers well.”

As the dealership has continued to grow, the family says United Bank & Trust has been an important partner along the way. “UBT has been very supportive of the growth we have had in recent years,” they shared, adding that they value the bank’s local decision-making and personal relationships with customers.

More than five decades after Bill Casady purchased the dealership, Central Iowa Farm Store continues to thrive through family leadership, trusted relationships, and a commitment to serving Iowa communities with a personal touch.
