News and Announcements
For several years, the House of Compassion has offered the community the opportunity to make a significant difference in the education of under privileged students in Marshall County by soliciting and distributing school supplies to children in preschool through high school.
In 2016, about 200 students were helped, which represents 20% of the total school population. Items needed this year include:
- folders
- spiral notebooks
- loose leaf paper
- composition notebook
- pencil boxes
- colored pencils (12 count)
- large or pencil top erasers
- blue or black pens
- red pens
- crayons (24 count)
- scissors (for elementary age students)
- pencils
- 3-ring notebooks
- backpacks
When supplies are purchased, you may drop them off at United Bank & Trust (2101 S. Center St. location) no later than July 31. Items will be delivered to the students before school begins.
Thank you for your consideration in helping making the days of school brighter for our local youth.
