United Bank & Trust Bank President, Robert Thomas, announces the promotion of Sam Upah
to Vice President & Senior Loan Officer. Upah has been with the bank since 2018 as a Commercial/Ag lender. In his new role, he is responsible for managing the loan department, while continuing to service the lending needs of customers.
“We are excited for Sam to expand his leadership role with the bank. Sam has helped business owners and farmers over the years either start or grow their operation, and he has been an outstanding leader in the community. During the pandemic, Sam helped numerous local small businesses and non-profit organizations weather the economic impact through Paycheck Protection Program loans,” stated Robert Thomas.
Upah currently serves as Treasurer on the Marshalltown Area United Way Board and is a graduate of Iowa Valley Leadership. Sam and his family reside in Marshall County.
