United Bank & Trust Appoints Husak and Rasmussen as Directors

Jeff RasmussenDoug HusakRobert Thomas, President of United Bank & Trust, announces the appointment of two new members to the bank’s Board of Directors. Doug Husak, Senior Loan Officer and Senior Vice President at United Bank & Trust, and Jeff Rasmussen, owner of Bergman Tax and Accounting, will be joining the Board in May.  

Husak, a graduate of University of Northern Iowa, joined United Bank & Trust in July 2020, and will be serving on the board as an internal director. Husak has over 25 years banking experience in the Marshalltown area, specializing in commercial and agricultural lending.   He currently serves as Board Treasurer of Our Sacred Space, committee member of MCBD, and is a member of the Lion’s Club.

Rasmussen received his BBA in Accounting from the University of Iowa, and later received his CPA designation.  He has over 18 years experience in auditing and accounting, and recently transitioned from partner to owner of Bergman Tax and Accounting.  He currently serves on the Marshalltown Area Chamber Board as Treasurer.  Rasmussen will be replacing long-time board member and former Bank President, Kathy Baker, who retired from the board in April.

“Kathy provided a unique perspective to the board, stemming from her decades long banking career and her community connections. She has been an invaluable part of the Bank’s history and we will greatly miss her leadership and guidance” stated Thomas.  “We look forward to the addition of both Doug and Jeff and the value they will bring to the Bank’s board”.
