United Bank & Trust announces the promotion of Wendy Mares to Teller Supervisor.
Wendy received her Associates of Arts degree from Marshalltown Community College in 2011 and shortly thereafter, began her banking career at United Bank & Trust as a teller. In her new role, she will oversee teller operations and will continue to assist customers with their banking needs.
“Wendy’s expertise in operations allows her to be an effective supervisor and leader within our organization,” commented Dan Mathews, Cashier and Branch Manager. “Her commitment to customer service aligns with our culture of making our customers feel at home when they visit us.”
When asked what she most enjoys about her job, Wendy states, “I enjoy working for a community bank because I am able to build relationships with my customers. I believe our customers really appreciate that we know who they are when they come into the bank.”
Mares has volunteered with United Way’s Day of Caring, helped cook and serve meals for the House of Compassion and has volunteered at her church. She looks forward to pursuing new volunteer opportunities.
Wendy and her husband reside in Marshalltown and have one daughter.
